How does an online consultation work?
- You book your appointment on Sports-Injury-Physio.com Remember to use your JM Run Club discount code!
- We share a Skype video call at a time that is convenient for you.
- We start by discussing your injury and symptoms, your lifestyle and your training goals. Then, I demonstrate specific movement tests and observe while you repeat them. The tests are similar to the ones I use in clinic and will help to establish what structures you have injured as well as test your muscle strength, flexibility and control.
- I then provide you with a diagnosis of your injury and compile your treatment plan. I’m also happy to liaise with your coach so that he/she can tweak your training programme to allow your injury to heal while you maintain a level of fitness. With your permission, I will also write to your GP if I need to request any blood tests or scans.
- I usually ask that you send me a progress report via email 1 week after our consultation so that I can adjust your treatment plan if needed. You are also welcome to email me at any time if you have any questions.
Please feel free to contact Maryke if you have any questions and to check if your injury is is appropriate for online treatment.
