Types of Plans
- Introductory Plans – Ideal for those returning to the sport after a layoff or if you’re training for your first event. The beginner plan starts gradually before slowly building up your running. Perfect for you if you’re not a speed demon and simply want to enjoy your time on the road!
- Improver Plans – The improver plan suggests you’ve already built up a reasonable level of fitness, perhaps you have an event under your belt or you’re ready to train for another event gradually increasing your training levels to improve your performance.
- Advanced Plans – For those who can run for at least 30 minutes, these plans will step up your training, mixing steady running with more complex sessions to get you in your best shape for your next event.
Personal Plans
If you’re looking for further support and customised training plans then a One to One schedule might be best for you.
Train for your next race with a coach by you side with an experienced international athlete planning your training and offering personal support to talk about race strategy, performance nutrition, injury prevention, stretching and much more.
Plans are customised on a weekly (or monthly basis) around your lifestyle. I like to think of the One to One schedules as following the athlete, rather than following the plan. Schedules will be updated and posted weekly via TrainingPeaks, which allows me to monitor and analyse progress and provide feedback. The bespoke plans are dynamic and can change on a weekly basis and fit in with the athlete’s lifestyle rather than the generic training programs above. So if you have a hectic week of meetings planned and need training to fit in around that, or your work schedule changes on a week to week basis then One to One coaching might be the best fit for you. Plans adapt as you progress.
